投行申请Tips

       作者背景：Bsc Accounting and financial management 专业，就读于 Loughborough大学。这份工作是我的 placement 工作，也是我申请的第一份工作。

       Sector： Financial and investing

       Industry： Security brokers and dealers

       公司名字就不公布了.我只对公司进行一下简要的介绍：

       The company is a global financial services group； its biggest competitor is Morgan Stanley..Europe headquarters is in London ， St. Paul 's area. Same as other similar companies， it has been known as Investment Bank. But in fact， investment is only 1/3 of its services. My role is Product Controller， overseeing the preparation of daily profit and loss report for the Government， Corporate and Syndicate bond traders， also required to be multi-skilled with the various financial products.

我的 tips：

       1．选择真正了解的 industry .如果平时没有什么兴趣，那参加面试你表现出来的也会是不太清楚，不太感兴趣的样子.即使自己感觉了解的很多，也要好好的读读公司的 annual report。这个建议是给申请金融一类工作的学生的，因为学金融的人是必须要读得懂 annual repor的。Annual report 包括了这个公司是做什么的，靠什么赚钱。最近都做了什么，以后会做什么。

       2．充分的准备，为什么选择这个公司，为什么选择这个 industry ，为什么你认为公司要选择你而不是别人。

       3．想报投资银行的人，一定要读 FT， 或者起码在面试前的一段时间努力读读。FT真的很专业但是很难读懂， FT是投资银行最肯定的报纸.还有一个就是杂志 economists 。

       我面试前准备的问题 ：

       1. why u ve chosen this company

       2. why u ve chosen your university

       3. why u ve chosen your course

       4. why u ve chosen this industry

       5. what did u enjoy about your course

       6. if you could have changed your course in any way， what would it be.

       7. talk about a group project u ve been involved in.

       8. what skills have u gained at university

       9. what do u do in your spare time

       10.How would a friend describe you

       11.what is your major achievement to date

       12.what are your strengths and weaknesses

       13.do u prefer to work in a team or on your own

       14.what are the most important things to u in a job

       15.an example when u motivated others

       16.an example that u have to develop relationship with others.

       17.an example that u have done differently from others.
